I was trimming my backyard and this got caught up accidentally in the trimmer and had a violent death.. Can you please help me identify what kind of snake is this and if they are venomous?

Hard to tell because it's so mangled and so small (barely wider than a blade of St Augustine, from your pic).

But I see little snakes like that all the time in my yard. Very common. I'm guessing a baby rat snake. In which case, not venomous.

Possibly a garter snake, but hard to tell. Not likely a water moccasin (not dark enough), and definitely not a copperhead, rattler, or coral snake. So unless it is a very oddly colored moccasin, it is non-venomous.

The Garter snake has a million different looks, though:

I think it's just a Texas Brown Snake.

A dead one! Don't play with it and you will be fine.

I agree - caught and relocated a few the other day while working with sod. You won't have any doubt if you encounter a rattler or coral snake. I would be more concerned about getting stung.
