Why, so you can jump in and bash it?

Just kidding - sort of. I've always had good luck at the Saltgrass on 183. I can make better at home, but it works if I don't feel like cooking.

Even though they have gussied up the place since we used to visit the original locations in north Atlanta, LongHorn Steaks is darned dependable(1431 in Cedar Park). We've also been pleased with Texas Land and Cattle near Lakeline. I'd smash my own baked potato, however.

Friday is our eat out night so we always try to eat somewhere new...

Have had salt grass and lol not to your surprise I in fact was not a big fan.

Texas road house...it is good but we've had it a million times it seems..same goes for logans and longhorn. All good in their own ways.

Just want to Trey something new/different to eat ...was looking at cheesecake factory but I don't think I feel like going that far and waiting in a huge line. Trulucks but I don't wanna spend $100 on a meal. So maybe we will try texas land and cattle? Fairly good?

Lots of dependable chains. Saltgrass usually doesn't disappoint, Texas Roadhouse is better than TL&C in my opinion, and there's always good old Outback. All of those are on 183 in between Anderson Mill and Great Hills.

If you want to go a bit further east and north (not much), North by Northwest is a cool place and they have a decent ribeye and to die for mashed potatoes. Good brews too if you're interested.

Trulucks>>North by Northwest>>Cool River>>(all the other mid-priced chain steak places)

Texas Land and Cattle concentrates on sirloin. Pre-sliced no less. Ugh.
I like Outback's Australia theme much more than Saltgrass' insulting ranch theme.

For something better and different you could try Jasper's in the Domain. Not as expensive as Trulucks or Flemings (also in the Domain).

Not surprised. When your palette is soy burger and boiled beef drenched in sauce.

Eddie V's in the Arboretum.

Roaring Fork at Stone Lake (off W. Braker Lane).

You can thank me later.
