I'm leaving to 8 days next weekend and I need to find a reasonably priced kennel for my siberian husky. Thanks in advance!

Define 'reasonably-priced' and whereabouts in the Austin metro are you located?

Neutered and up-to-date on shots?

I drive 20+ miles to take my dog to DogBoy Dog Ranch. I can't bear the thought of my dog in a crate most of the time, so I spend the money for the Ranch. About $46 a day. They book up quickly. I've already booked all my dates for summer.

Many doggie daycares also do boarding. Exmoor used to be a basic and reasonably priced boarding place but I see they have now gone upscale and don't even list prices! http://exmoorpet.com/

I've been taking my dog to Cactus Pryor's Canine Hilton for a few years now. Very reasonable rates and friendly people.

we use gold ducat, $20 or $25/day. They hang out with other dogs and get jogged twice a day. They are in liberty hill so you need to be up north. If you have two dogs they can share a kennel. (the kennels are large).

It is run by a woman who shows dogs. She built this giant kennel and realized she had a ton of extra space so now she boards dogs.

IF the pup can stay at home, a service like Pets R People 2 can visit them, walk, feed, play, etc once or more per day(and can check the mail, paper delivery, packages, etc). Plenty of folks prefer that the pets stay in familiar surroundings.

We live in Spicewood but driving to a kennel in a further part of town and closer town isn't a problem. $46 is a bit much since we may need to board her for roughly 10 days.

$20/day at the Georgetown Veterinary Clinic. I kept my dog there last month for 3 nights, and they offer play time a few times a day. Its not the "Ritz" for dogs like some of the other places described here. But each dog gets their own separate "room" with a cot to sleep on, and a lot of friendly, animal loving folks that really care about your pets there. For $20 a night, I'd say it was a really good deal.

I know its far for you, but in case you decide - or anyone else on here, I highly recommend it!

Ill add that even with tons of space dogs will tend to just hang out in this heat. So the kennel should just have a social area, but acres doesnt really matter.
