What are the fastest growing areas in Austin? Is it still up around Georgetown?

Georgetown was from 2000-2010, now that growth has shifted south to San Marcos. 3 years in a row, San Marcos has been the fastest growing in the nation.

More statistics(lies)...

I reckon it depends on how one defines an "area"...is it a zip code, city boundaries, county?

What measure will be used? Percentage growth? Liberty Hill doesn't even have 1000 residents. A single apartment complex could double their population in a flash. I'd guess Hutto could put up some impressive numbers percentage-wise; so could the zip code around the new developments near McKinney Falls State Park...but those percentages won't mean much.

The "area" on either side of Ronald Reagan Blvd would show tremendous growth; but you'd be talking about FOUR different cities in those numbers.

Ah, statistics

I would say the Cedar Park/ Leander area would be the fastest or close to it.

North Round Rock & eastern Round Rock/Pflugerville should be in there too.

Slowest growing area is around the 25 acres I own next to the F1 race track in SE Austin/Delvalle.
lol

If SH130 was an interstate, that area would grow quicker. That area needs traffic, not Austin.

Drive 130 during rush hours - it is pretty crowded and can get slow & go bumper to bumper in some sections. The state would be smart to add at least one more lane each way from Lockhart to G-town right now. But they won't do it in my lifetime.

They also should just take it over and re-designate it as I-35E (Austin).
