I know many hate the 'big' banks. But I don't and I am happy with BoA.
The big boys in Austin : BoA, Chase, Wells Fargo, Wachovia
Mid to small size ones : IBC, Compass, Franklin, Indymac, Prosperity, Regions..etc to name a few.
And then there are Credit Unions. ( I have an account with Amplifi Credit Union as well...i don't do much with them though).

Wells Fargo was my bank till they charged me $130.00 to deposit a balance transfer check drawn on Chase Bank. Now I use USAA and love it. I can scan my deposits from home if not more than $5000. Free Bill Pay and free ATM anywhere. You have to have a military connection and lucky for me my Dad was a Navy Officer.

CapitalOne

Free checking
Reimbursement of fees when using other bank's ATM

best of all

Free online services, including but not limited to, Billpay using Quicken or MS Money (not the same as online banking) This usually costs on average $9.95 per month with other banks such as Chase, BofA etc.

I hate Chase, I hate Wellsfargo.

UFCU is good. I used them and dropped them for Amplify. IMHO that is what banking is all about.
