They just need to get approval to fill the features. The worry isn't so much that the karst features will be lost as that they will be subject to contamination feeding directly into the aquifer. But they do need to come up with a plan and get it approved by the TCEQ/EAA.

No, LaCrosse is a bridge over Mopac. But, it could be delayed for a long while.

It shouldn't be a long delay, unless Bill Bunch and SOS decide to file a lawsuit over it. But these Karst discoveries are normal and expected, not a huge surprise, and there is an existing process to address it and keep the project moving with minimal delay. They contractor may have to do some things "out of order", but there is plenty of work to keep doing around it.

Speaking of the trail, has anyone here been on it? Are there any water fountains on the trail? I'd like to use it for running but am unsure if I can handle having no water for 4.5 miles each direction. (I'm bringing my own but will drink it, obviously).

Just a follow up. The Lacrosse bridge is finally being built. If they can move at the pace they did with the Slaughter bridge (and this one is only 2 lane) this might get done before the 290 improvements start again.

290 / 71 interchange? Did they finally go through with deciding to do it?

Actually about 35 years late. The interchange was first approved 1983.
