And 400k and down, as well.

But if you want, yes, you can buy/build a million dollar home in CP.

The vast majority of homes in Cedar park are under 400K.

In looking both at the MLS and other builder resources I have, the price range for new builds in Cedar Park is from $250,000 and up. Don't know where lilihmartin is getting their information but it is less than accurate.

I would recommend looking in west Round Rock specifically in areas zoned to Round Rock or McNeil High School. Both have excellent elementary and middle schools that feed into them. Since your kids are elementary age I would checkout Brushy Creek, Great Oaks, Fern Bluff, Deepwood, Sommer and England Elementary Schools. There are plenty of homes in your range and are in extremely family friendly areas with lots of parks, trails, and activities. Your commute would be closer to 30 mins but there are several routes you can take to get back and forth.

Cedar Park and parts of Pflugerville could meet your needs as well but I’m not as familiar with the schools or neighborhoods. Good luck and welcome!

Austin city school district is better than you portray based on the latest rating. https://spectrumlocalnews.com/tx/aus...-b--from-state

That rating is from the state. "Government thinks Government is A-OK, at least compared to other government."

Actually, the state government is currently very vested in portraying schools as bad as they can.

The grade school education system in Canada vs. U.S. is very different. In Canada, postal code isn't an issue (from what I have heard) since it's a provincial matter. The U.S. treats this as a local matter (with state-level oversight), so your zip code will determine quality and services that can be supported by the district's tax base.
