How does Austin stack up against Houston and Dallas when it comes to Pakistani culture, restaurants, mosques, etc?

Obviously, the city is much smaller (75% smaller it would appear) so would certainly take that into account.

Appreciate this, but "Indian" is very different from Pakistani.

Pakistanis eat beef at almost every meal, while Indians consider cows to be sacred.

The vast majority on the list above appear to be Indian restaurants.

I would say its almost non existent, especially near downtown and south Austin. Austin is mostly white and hispanic, your best bet would be north Austin . And if you are looking for a thriving pakistani neighborhood, DFW and Houston are leagues ahead.

That is the sense I was getting as well!

Do you see this changing with Austin's growth?

I personally do not, but interested to hear thoughts from others.

Not really, I have been here for 7 years and in terms of migration of Asians its overwhelmingly chinese and Indian folks. Also even though Austin has the fastest growth, its mostly white people moving from North east, florida and California. I wouldnt bet on Austins growth for a huge change in diversity.

That aligns with what I've seen, anecdotally.

Would you say that Austin is an experiencing an almost Bay Area-ish influx of men in their 20s and 30s, in particular?

I don't have data, but it seems like I rarely here of any young women moving to Austin.
