I've lived in Texas all my life (Houston and Dallas) except I moved to Seattle and have been there the last 6 years. I'm now considering coming back to Texas and am looking at Austin. I don't know anything about the city. I've browsed the web to learn more about what areas, but I don't have a clue. I'm hoping to get some direction.

What I love about Seattle is the trees and scenery. Obviously there aren't any mountains in Austin, but I would love to live in a hilly area or near water and trails. Being in a top school district is a top concern though. I would be looking to spend up to $350k but prefer around the $260k mark. Any suggestions on what areas to look? Thanks!

it's a little outside the city but sounds like you would like Lakeway or Lago Vista. They are hilly, in your price range and near water.

You also might want to look in the Dripping Springs/Driftwood area.
