DL Jardines in Buda on Loop 4 will put together gift baskets for you. I did this one year for my clients. Very Texas! You can always throw in music CD's or BBQ from one of the local joints.

Isn't "sauce" something that's needed for KC BBQ? (not really a Texas thing ).

& as far as a "keep Austin weird" book or bumper sticker.....isn't that a contrary to the original thought?.... & isn't it just a little too "McCute"?

I do like the idea of salsa though.....or tamales! (& Sir Doug )

Default Fox7 had a list on their morning show last week:

MyFox Austin | Top 10 Stocking Stuffers (http://www.myfoxaustin.com/myfox/pages/InsideFox/Detail?contentId=7992440&version=1&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=VSTY&pageId=5.2.1 - broken link)

All of the gifts were local in 2 stores downtown and under $10.

I was at Book People awhile back and they were selling "Leslie Paper Dolls". It was a paper doll of Austin's most famous resident, and you could switch out different dresses, etc. on him. By far one of the funniest things I've seen in awhile.

Lammes candy is always a good choice. The Longhorns or Pralines are classics!
