My wife and I are looking for daycare providers that have the internet cameras so we can check in and see our 14 month old daughter. We're looking in the area between Cedar Park and the Mopac/Parmer area. We know about Bluebonnet (liked) and Children's Courtyard (disliked). Who else are we missing? Thanks

My daughter is also 14 months old... we're using Kids R Kids on 620, so not the area you're looking for... but it wasn't important for me to have that, so you might not want to use that as a narrowing down criteria. For the first 14 months, she was in a daycare without a camera, and that made me feel good knowing no pedophiles were online trying to hack in... just a thought.

Very few, if any, will have cameras. Imagine the pain the ass it would be for the daycare director handling phone call after phone call about perceived injustices towards precious snowflakes.

Part of the daycare experience is learning to let go and trust others with you're child. Hard yes, but a n ecessary lesson for the parents IMHO.
Cheers

Another issue to consider is privacy. Anyone can now make a video clip or take photo when internet viewing. I know I wouldn't want my child's picture showing up on somebody's family website or even worse, on a youtube clip!

Goddard Schools do not have internet viewing into classrooms due to potential privacy issues. Closed circuit security cameras monitor play areas and door entrance.

"Part of daycare is learning to let go of your child"? Wow. Where did you get that?

I think 14 mo. olds ought to be with their mothers. No cameras needed. IMHO.

Default yep

Well, so do I, But the reality is many must put 14 month old children, and even younger in daycare. I was just trying to address the problem alot of parents have trusting others to take care of their kids, and spying on them with a camera doesnt do much to that end.

Cameras would worry me some, not sure that I would actually want one with cameras... I would wonder who else is watching all the time, and I would end up watching all the time, too .
