I will be moving to Austin shortly to do some graduate school work. I am in my forties, single, and live a simple lifestyle. Can anyone recommend an apartment locator that has access to reasonably priced apartments. I am willing to give up some space and extras to live within my budget.

Maybe someone can clue me into which areas of town to avoid. Any other information is appreciated.

Thanks

Since you're a grad student you will want to look at living closer to the Campus area you will attend, don't know if you're talking about UT, Steds, or Concordia. Anyway, you might be able to find a nice place near DT. Some people will suggest apartments on Riverside or Far West Blvd. but those have alot of undergrads and are more noisy and distracting to someone who is concentrating on an upper level degree. If you decide to stay farther out you'll want to consider places along metro/dillo/rail routes to/from campus. Otherwise you'll definitely have to drive and then contend for parking; that's a hassle. Don't know any apartment locators. Good Luck.

What's your budget? And, yes, which grad school?
