The Blue Bonnets really came out this spring in Steiner Ranch, and elsewhere too. Here they are in my neck of the woods, as shown by the attached photos.

Beautiful!! I took a drive yesterday to search out the Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrush and saw more this year than in many years passed. They surely brighten one's day.

Really stunning! I like to take a trip down to Hill Country every year to see them, but think I waited too late. Now the weather is going to get them.

I love Bluebonnets. Indian Paintbrush are also cool, their real name is Firewheel. I posted a link under the main Texas page of a local tv stations bluebonnet pics that have been sent in. I have to agree, this year was a bumper crop for the Bluebonnets. Hope the snow and cold does not get them .

Oh, did you hear about the neighborhood in Austin that was fining a guy for growing Bluebonnets in his yard? GEEZ! Must have been a non-native Texan on the HOA board jk I posted the link on the Austin thread w/ the story (Bluebonnets Illegal in Austin).
