I think with the popularity of MKR (I loved that show My France with Manu too) France seems like the flavour of the month so there might be an increase in tourism there, a little while ago Manu was at the opening of a restaurant in Adelaide with another much more world famous French chef, I can't remember his name but when he arrived his name wasn't on the guest list and nobody knew who he was so he just went back to his hotel room lol.

From my Canadian perspective, Australia is:

Queensland beaches and the Great Barrier Reef
The great desert interior and Uluru
Wine with bin numbers on the label
A nation of fiercely independent people I admire for not letting bigger nations push them around
Outstanding tennis players, golfers and swimmers

The country I would most like to visit!

France is always a popular destination, it's just a bit less affordable than say Bali. But yes, many still make the big trip to Europe if they can.
