I suspect if one were to go to an Indonesian forum and ask if anyone has seen Krakatoa, you'd get the same response

That's the one west of Java?

You may still be able to see the pink terraces if you want to, a fragment or two may still exist under water.

No the original krakatoa is gone
What exists is a new volcano called anak (child) krakatoa.

There is something left on them on the bottom of Lake Rotomahana at the Waimangu Volcanic Valley. If you've got a PADI cert. it may be worth a trip to see them. They probably wouldn't look that pink underwater though.
