Your giving way too much credit for Hendrick engines and chassis. Jr and MM had those same engines and chassis. You need the whole package, driver, CC, pit crew and $$$$$ to run up front consistently.

Respectable is the operative word here as I'm reasonably sure they don't have delusions about being front runners week in week out.

Sure, there are more elements than engines and chassis, but you need engines and chassis too.

Hendrick power cars/chassis held 5 of the top 10 spots in the final point standings (1st, 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th). Mark Martin had a disappointing year at 22nd.

I cannot speak to the CC or pit crew that the 51 will have yet (I never paid much attention to Landon Cassill), or what budget they will really have. I'd say they have a significant upgrade in driver. Busch is good, and a past champion.

I think respectable is well within their reach.

There is one thing in NASCAR that is guaranteed and that is you never know who is going to be wearing the magic horseshoe come the end of the season. Tony Stuart admitted they stunk just before the Chase started, then Hendrick took the horseshoe away from JJ and gave it to Stuart.

You're right. Hendrick horsepower is the golden horseshoe.

You have to admire the way Hendrick play the game just like he's the George Steinbrenner of NASCAR. You buy up all the best players (sometimes you get stuck with a lemon, Kyle Bush) so you trade him for a veteran, Martin but that does not bring you a championship. You rent a driver for the Chase, Tony Stuart cause your star is stumbling. Next year you bring in a new star Kane and hope for the best.
Nobody spends more money on his teams than Hendrick so he's bound to win most of the championships.

Correction: Nobody pays Hendrick more to spend money on his teams to win championships.
Seems he is the only one not having sponsor problems.

It's too bad that former championship caliber teams can barely compete against Hendrick and his money machine. Childress racing with how many championships is a notch below Hendrick.

Hendrick is doing in NASCAR what Red Bull is doing in F1 and all us NASCAR fans know how exciting the racing is over at F1

People wonder why NASCAR is loosing it's fan base. Maybe it's because one team will stop at nothing (including giving it's best stuff to a satellite team) to secure another championship.
The guy has proved in the past that he will stop at nothing (including bribery) to get what he needs.
What other NASCAR owners has been suspended for a year for less than ethical practices?
If Brian France had any balls(or honesty) he would kick Hendrick out of his bed.
I don't see how anybody with any sense of fair play in NASCAR can cheer for Hendrick.
Once a crook always a crook.

My wife absolutely detests the man, I used to but really don't give a damn about the man one way or another.
Then to get her really riled up I remind her Stewart (who we pull for) uses Hendrick equipment.
I don't agree Hendrick gave his best equipment to Stewart, I think it's just the way the cards played out. Think about it; you have a driver who won 5 championships in a row, the most viable threat to the 7 owned by Petty/Earnhardt since Gordon won his last. Why would you deflect your best equipment to a team that really had a mediocre season? I would be throwing everything at my 5 time driver to ensure he had the best chance of bringing home #6.

Are you saying Hendrick is not abiding by the rules set by NASCAR? That he somehow has an advantage that no other team has?

I'm seeing better drivers, better equipment and better preparation.
