Whoever is the head of marketing at Roush needs to be fired. They couldn't find enough sponsorship for Kenseth, and now they lost Valvoline to Hendrick.
Coupled with a lack of results when compared to other top tier teams.

That might be part of it, but the only teams that are consistently doing better than Roush are Hendrick and Gibbs. Just look at all the sponsors they've lost:
DeWalt
Carhartt
Office Depot
National Guard
Crown Royal
Irwin
Sharpie
UPS
Valvoline
Aflack (down to a few races)
USG Sheetrock
One could make an argument for the slow economy as well, but other teams haven't had problems having fully funded cars.

For all the funding Roush does have the team should be doing as well or better than HMS & JGR. As it stands the team is no better than MWR, Penske, Ganassi, or Childress. He dumps big bucks into his golden boy while the other drivers get slighted and still can't bring home the prize.

Will MWR be a viable team in 2014. Will they have any sponsors. Clint Bowyer's season was lost at Richmond. Why does Hendrick racing get so many freebees? Is silly season just as ridiculous as the "weekly" rules changes or what?

When you say fully funded there is a huge difference in having Lowes, Budweiser, Home Depot vs some of the sponsors on the Roush cars.
Is fully funded 15 M a year the same as 10M a year.
I don't know if Roush lost those sponsors or Roush wanted more money and they left for other teams.
Office Depot left Roush after getting nine wins so they were getting their money's worth.
We can only guess why sponsors leave. Look at Budweiser they have sponsored more different teams over the years than you can think of.

The trend appears to divide the $15-$20 million tab amongst several primary sponsors therefore softening the blow somewhat. It can make for more effective advertising if your demographic is in concentrated areas.
