I guess that's what many NASCAR fans do. Before picking somebody to root for wait until they start racking up wins and then jump on the winners bandwagon.
I don't beilieve that is the case with Jr fans. They were Sr fans first then joind the Jr brigade in memory of Sr.
I am going to stick with my way of picking a driver, go with the underdog and that will be Ryan Blaney for me. I was a Bill Elliott fan when he first hit the scene and had many good memories of cheering for him.
That's a funny statement!
I think some followed because they thought the apple would fall close to the tree.......they were wrong.
I was looking for a driver to pull for when Stewart was in the Busch series. After a couple of very unimpressive seasons there Gibbs moved him into Cup. Okay, maybe Gibbs knows something. Turns out to be a good call.
at least the catch fence did its job and kept the car out of the stands. had that happened 15 years ago, that car would have been in the fans laps.
Looks like NASCAR got what it wanted, a big crash at the end as a grand finale. The only thing that can top that is a Jr win.
Keep up the pack racing NASCAR one of these days a driver will be tossed on to the track instead of an engine.
Why can they run 200 at Atlanta and Michigan without pack racing and without the "big one?
Restrictor plate racing sucks for real race fans but I guess it's OK for the video game crowd.
