If Jr leaves I wouldn't surprised if they shut the 88 down and put the sponsors with the 24/48/5. The 88 without Jr isn't going to hold onto sponsors not those anyway.

that depends on who they replace jr with. for example, if napa had not followed chase to the cup series, i have no doubt that axalta would have remained on the 24 car. if the sponsor approves of the driver that replaces jr, they will remain on the car. and it isnt always about winning either, but rather how well the driver represents the sponsor in question. hooters for instance stayed with alan kulwicki when he was struggling, and was considering disbanding his team if someone stepped up and gave him a full time ride. they were rewarded with a championship a few years later, but hooters could have at anytime dropped kulwicki for not performing well, early in the relationship.

I figure Bowman will drive the 88 for 2017 considering the drivers available after the 2017 season is over are better talents.

I don't know what led up to the wreck, but Tony flat out dumped Brian Scott. It was just as stupid as John Hunter Nemechek's incident with Cole Custer in the Truck Series race.

Both of them should be wary of unexpected retaliation during their respective chases.

After watching the truck race it's sad to see what some (Nemechek) will do to win. I think NASCAR should have denied the win for what he did unless they can PROVE his steering malfunctioned and he couldn't turn right to pull off of the wall.

I'm sure they were locked together once they hit the wall.. But.. Prior to that.. There's no question Nemechek dumped him

Sorry boys.....this was what made the sport. Not the pansy rules and regulations they have now. Sprint Cup crowds are dwindling because when you have 40 cars starting and only 10 with a realistic chance of winning it gets dull. Let them bang. Let them cheat. Bring back The Good Ol Boy sport of stock car racing.

Finally saw that finish and no, that's not racing nor 'old nascar' racing. That was a guy taking out another guy and is BS. What was old time nascar was the tackle after the race. That was good. lol He should have beat him down for that crap. Honestly nascar should disqualify Nemechek's win and relegate him to last place. They won't but that's what should happen.
