Not that the Monaco race was thrilling (it's my least favorite in the schedule), but I only lasted 20 laps watching the Alonso500. Now THAT is boring. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your point of view), I got spoilered for the results and could shut the TV off.

Really? I thought it was a very interesting race... but as any 500 mile race you are good having it on the background and only being focused for the last 30 minutes.
I don't care for watching ovals. If F1 ran ovals, I wouldn't watch those, either. Much prefer actual race tracks to street circuits as well, although I kind of like Canada.

Canada is a very nice track for what it is and a beautiful city to attend an event in, they really get behind the race a make a party of the weekend.
I dont know about other tracks but the Montreal track is open to the public when not in use for formula 1, you cant race on it but you can drive around on it as many times as you like = http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...a/DSCF2565.jpg

I would like to visit Montreal. I have driven around the road track in Monaco and Le Mans (public roads).
