Bottas has improved a lot

Bottas said it took him 81 GPs to score a win but I'd say it took him only 4 races in a first tier car to do so.

It's finally happening!! Fans will now be able to identify F1 cars more easily.

I remember reading about this last year – it was a real struggle to make it happen.

For years people attending the races complained that they couldn't read car numbers, if they could see them at all, so they often couldn't figure which car was which and who the driver was.

Of course, they were supposed to memorize the car colors and helmet designs. Most of them knew the red cars were Ferraris and some knew the silver ones were Mercedes, but that was about it.

Liberty Media is finding that it is really difficult to make F1 fan friendly.

Mercedes reveals what F1's new car number and name display will look like

I think Mercedes was conservative because they didn't want two roosters in one cage. Lewis is now the undisputed #1 driver in the team. Bottas won't be anywhere near him, but he'll be reliable to collect points towards the constructors championship.

Alonso must be deflated for sure... they sold him on a 3 year incremental approach to a third championship, and this could be the wors year of the three. I feel for him.
I feel for him too and I can't help but like the guy, but he is a pretty crappy employee and teammate. Can't get along with anyone and a rule bender/breaker regardless of pay or team status. At least partially his fault, perhaps?

I thought this was a great side story at the Spanish GP

Boy cries at Kimi Raikkonen's retirement in Spain, gets taken to meet him at Ferrari

'I'm very strong mentally'
"In previous years, Hamilton had enjoyed a muted level of respect towards Vettel, often pointing out that his four world titles had all come in an Adrian Newey-designed car.

The Red Bull technical whizz, regarded as the best designer in F1 history, was no doubt a key figure behind the team's success.

And Hamilton repeated those old feelings in Monte Carlo. When asked what he most admired about Vettel, he quipped "his car..."."

I don't know about that, Lewis. Mercedes was more dominant in 2014-16 than RB ever was.

Watching the race now, can Monaco possibly suck any more than it does already?

Go Kimi!

3.5 on Raikkonen's pit stop? Nah, Ferrari doesn't play favorites. Vettel for the win.
