Hello, Im running a 2000's Chevy impala 3.6 i think its the 3.6 It has around 79K right now and im thinking about switching to "high mileage" synthetic motor oil,I just like your opinion on making the change,I'm not burning any oil right now I think it be ok yet as 79K is not really high but again just would like your all opinion's Thanks
Be sure to use a High Quality Oil and AC Oil Filter as well.
Contrary to many posters, I still change both every 3000 miles.
If you haven't changed your fuel filter you might want to do it before it leaves you stranded somewhere. I change mine every 30,000 miles ever since getting caught unexpectedly.
Filters are about the same price as a quart of oil, course I use Mobil 1.
