Heheh, yea I was concerned about that too as I bought the car because I have a long commute to work now. That said, I'm from the Washington DC area (VA side) and had driven a manual there (96' Subaru legacy) so I'm familiar with this phenomena!

As for the hills, don't forget about all the bridges over canals and other roads. I didn't want automatic transmission on such a small engine and cheap car so the manual worked out (cheaper too). I get the car on tuesday, I will keep you all updated, hope GM doesn't let me down.

Picked up the car today, it already has a problem... Very minor, but the door ajar light is on even when all the doors and trunk are closed. Will be taking it back to the dealer to fix tomorrow. Whee

Ut oh, well hopefully something minor.

What trim is this car? LS or LT1 or LT2? The LS is listed on the Chevy website for $11,000 brand new, so I am hoping that for a 2009 with 12K miles for $10K that its an upper trim level you got.

That price would be quite steep for a base LS or even an LT1.

It is an LS, if I hadn't bought the car they would've listed it for $13k
