I have only driven a 2012 650i xDrive and a base 2011 Corvette. I managed 200 kph/124 mph in the BMW on the Autobahn. I have also been a passenger in a 997 GT3.

For this old retired automotive writer , all cars were fast , some standing still. But for real all out raw speed it had to be my De Tomaso Pantara GT I bought in 76' new from my local Ford dealer.. several times I saw 160, early on a sundry morning between Chicago and Rockford.... Was a real chick magnet except one time coming home from dinner , back to her house the old girl blew a radiator hose at 100 soaking my first and last date with anti freeze , me too a little. It was a race for time to get her back safely and to remove all those wet cloths and get her into the shower. !

Overall comfort thou had to be my 500sl roadster back in 93 when many a trip to Atlanta airport to meat a flight , 130 just seemed like 75 coming down out of the twisty roads in the Mountains of North Ga.also early on a Sunday morning. .

1969 Plymouth Fury. This was a restored former highway patrol unit. 4200+ pounds with all period correct police gear. The 440 magnum had effortless acceleration.

My 1970 1/2 Camaro I had up to 138 on I-25 north of Denver

My 1971 Mustang Grande had at 153 in the 1/4 mile at 10.7 secs at Bandimere Speedway in Denver
That works out to the very low 10'sor high 9's
elsewhere.....

1971 Pantera at about 183 at the old Continental Divide Raceway in Castle Rock, Colorado

Also was in an AC Cobra at 216 on the straightaway at the same racetrack with a 1200 hp 427 side oiler in it...
