Yeah, its a very nice car. Its a Fury III, which was about the same trim level as the Impala and "non-Brougham" LTD. I am more of a fan of the Fury Gran sedan (top of the line model), which was the top of the line model. I am also not a fan of these high-back bucket seats. I think they were optional on these cars back then. Some had the low back seats with headrests.

As you can see below, here is a '73 Fury III with the low-back seats...

Here is my favorite Fury for '73... (note the additional lower body chrome, chrome on the top of the hood and the emblem on the C-pillar and I am sure a more luxurious interior...

1973 Fury Gran sedan...

It probably rides like a Cadillac. I owned a '76 fury that rode like a ship, or boat, it also handled poorly too, it's best element was highway cruising, and was a gas hog. Mine was a old retired police interceptor.

No Jive--the Fury you posted is the old "small Fury" introduced for '75 which was the old Satellite with a new grille and somewhat new back lights. that was a mid sized Fury and the larger Fury became the Gran Fury. the new body introduced for 1974 never floated my boat like the fuselage bodies.

the quality of workmanship on this red Fury III is on par with Chev Impala and almost with Ford. I love the wheel covers, covered wheel wells and lines and how it obviously strives to be a "big car" without being pretentious. Tho i liked the Impala and LTD, these Mopars had "character" IMO more so than Ford and Chev.

I just noticed that the pic of the new 73 Fury Gran Sedan also had the high back bucket seats, but I think that you could get a plush optional low-backed seat as an option. The Caprice had low-back seats, but the LTD Brougham in 1973 had high back seats, but I think went back to low back seats for '74.

i think these big Mopars looked better as pillarless hardtops than as sedans with framed windows. I don't remember if Ford and Chev biggies came as sedans with framed windows

tennesee--we rented a 72 Fury III and a 73 Gran Sedan on family vacations. I think both had 360's. my dad was astounded by their size and power (we had a 66 Ford Galaxie 500 at the time) and he said he felt like a bigshot driving them. but my mom didn't care for their "cheapnness". Im sure a lot of other posters would agree!!

Yeah the '74 Furys looked alot like the early 70s Buick LeSabres... (even more so as far as the top and rooflines go). I think Buick wore the style much better...

Here is a '74 Fury Gran Sedan...

and look at the '74 Buick LeSabre in comparison... notice the roofline...

and the '73 Buick LeSabre Custom... notice the taillights...
