Drop 80 lbs and suddenly every car will feel comfortable. Not to mention you'll gain 2mpg fuel economy.
80 lbs give you a near 2 mpg gain? No way in hell! What POS car do you drive loses 4 mpg when you have a passenger in it?

I am 6'5" my experience is 2 door cars are better.

For me to be comfortable I have to tilt the seat back and the flrilt the front of it up. An example is think of the seat as a letter L I have to positio. It so it tilts back on the corner of the L. Gives me more legroom.

My problem is on most 4 doors this puts the b pillar in my line of sight. I generally used to drive 2 door cars as the door is much bigger and the B pillar isn't in my way. I loved driving Camaros over most other cars. I got a pontiac G6 over. Ford fusion as it was much more roomier for me, even though they are the same size car. I honestly never found trucks too comfortable, because they force you to sit more up and down, I feel it made less legroom.

My crown vic is comfortable anf I can still sit a car seat with a 2 year old behind me. Most times I would make the seat behind me near useless unless I made myself realll uncomfortable.

This is crazy. My Mom has a Corolla, I can't stand it. I feel like a midget stuffed into a small circus car. The car is so low to the ground, my head almost touches the roof in the car, with my knees at my chin, even with the seat all the way back. I can't even drive her car, it drives me crazy, I am smashed in there, with my legs under the steering wheel, I have my feet in the small space that barely fits my shoes, and I have to find the gas and brake pedal. I honestly have no clue how you manage in that car.

Tall people with long legs, and okay, I admit it, big feet, need a car with space. I have an SUV, and feel like I have space. Honda CRV.

It really depends on your driving position people say I drive laying down.

Hi MustangEater82--

I know a guy who had a Grand Prix that, when he picked up his 380 pound friend to go to church, would see his gas mileage drop from 21 to 18. So, it's certainly possible.

That said, I've lost 55 pounds myself in the past year and have noticed no perceptible difference in gas mileage. I'm sure it's out there somewhere.

As far as the Corolla, I'm 6'3' and was 260lbs at the time of my review of the car and I fit just fine in the driver's seat.

Review: 2012 Toyota Corolla

I drive with my seat almost straight up, I guess there is about a twenty degree tilt to it.

Weight will have an affect but not 80 lbs.

80 lbs is like 12 gallons of fuel. A trip to the grocery store, or half passenger.

Your average grocery shopping weighs 80lbs????

I am not even going to comment on riding around with people cut in half...

For once, my 6'2.5" & 240lbs frame didn't seem so big, if not even on the small side comparing to some of you freaks!

I kid! I kid!

I have more than enough leg room in a Silverado 1500 but since I hardly ever use or need a truck, I was thinking about getting a smaller vehicle mainly due to the parking dilemma in my city.
I was considering Chevy Sonic and I will be test riding it tomorrow but who knows, I might be better off holding onto my truck as I love the higher riding position.

As a new and proud owner - Ridgeline is very comfy. Very. Mpg is not that bad, some get around 20 average.
Yes, and I am still 6'5''.

I'm 6-3 and 230, and the headroom and legroom in my 2007 Elantra is the best in class; having driven to Phoenix & Tucson annually since 2010 as well as to Albuquerque & Oklahoma City from home here in Los Angeles has been a piece of cake, as well as going 400 miles on a full tank of gas (36+ MPG).

I agree that there's no reason for anyone who's 6-3 to have their head hitting the roof in a camry, Accord, Sonata or any family sedan excluding the Malibu, which was recently redone after the most recent edition bombed in the marketplace.
