There are some others that would probably fit the bill too, but I'll stick with the following:

1959 Cadillac (Biggest fin Caddy)
1970 Challenger (426 Hemi of course)
1967 Corvette 427 Tri power

I think this is the best list for America today.

A possible change is the Corvette for the Mustang.

I can't think of any model of vehicle more inherently American that the Willy's MA (Jeep) and it's decendents.

Second, the Ford Model T, the world's first successful attempt to bring autobobiles to the common people.

Lastly, the Tucker 48. Preston Tucker's company should have been the epitome of everything that America has historically stood for, but the sad ending to the story exemplifies what keeps America (and Americans) from realizing their dreams.

To represent America in the most worldwide iconic fashion I would say:

1908 Ford Model T
1957 Chey Bel Air
1968 Dodge Charger

Every country has 18 wheelers and sedans....which ones represent each country? In this case the question was which ones represent America.
