I've watched the Car Show. I thought it was pretty good. I like TGUSA and TGBBC. The only thing I don't care for is Clarkson tends to be too much "those Americans everything is bad we can't do this we can't do that." Sometimes it's a bit much. But whatever.
Theire all just TV shows. Entertainment not gospel

Do'h. Thanks guys for the correction. Man, 175hp for a car that weighs that much. Your common Hyundai Sonata does better than that these days.

I like Clarkson on the rare occasion he can stop being a c*** and be somewhat unbiased, but that's rare and far between.

FWIW, the USA is hardly alone as a target for Clarkson's commentary; he also jabs at the French, the Germans, Eastern Europeans, liberals, truck drivers, RV owners, you name it. The guy is basically a Gatling gun of spite, and while it's supposedly tongue-in-cheek, at some point one gets the impression that his sense of humor stems from a genuine loathing for pretty much all of humanity. And tongue-in-cheek or not, it gets tiresome after a while.

Clarkson makes fun of everybody--including the British--that's his schtick-- I really don't take him seriously and he makes such a concerted effort to offend.

To me he's a great personality and the show definitely doesn't work without him.

You either like him or you don't.

Apparently a lot of people do....I read somewhere where the NFL (taken as a whole) is worth $9 billion a year.

Top Gear alone is generating $2 billion per year.....so I guess the BBC will put up with them.

I watch the UK one. They always dumb down the USA stuff like they did with Iron Chef and really everything. Guess they think we are a bunch of dopes.

Interesting you should say that because nobody in this forum regularly demonstrates such contempt for his fellow Americans as you do. So maybe they're onto something.

I would if I didn't know how much better the UK version really is. I hate the British accent but despite that I find Jeremy and the boys a lot more entertaining.
