Except that you hardly ever get the “book value”. We traded in a 2008 Saturn Aura with 50,000 miles. Spotless. Could not get more than $6K for it. The so-called book value was $8500. So don’t bank on what you read.

When you lease, you are going for the car. Value is not a factor. So with that being said, the shorter the better. why stick with the same thing if you can get a new one for the same amount?
