I live in southern westchester (20 miles north of New York City) and will be driving 11 miles to/from work(to & from bronx) for total 22 miles a day on the
bronx river pkway. I just bought bf goodrich traction ta hr15 all season tires. The roads always get salted.
spent 2 years in your neighbor hood and never had a problem with a good set of all weather tiers with chains unless your doing a lot of driving on real icy roads and you dont like the hassel of trying to put on and take off chains every five minutes i would go with studs just remember there is no diferanse between chains or snow tiers they are not ment for stoping and still have to use cation when driving
Up here in Canada no one uses chains, every one uses snow tires.
Not sure where you live crazynnyssa but if you are in a place that gets much snowfall you will be better off with snow tires than all seasons,it could come down to whats you and your families lives worth..
