I'm surprised that the electronic systems in a gas station would allow a mere clerk to change prices that easily. I would think that only the owner would be able to do that. Perhaps too trusting.
What amazes me is thieves that steal from people they know are so stupid that they think the things they steal won't be missed or figure out who is doing the stealing...
People are so stupid. And while Im not condoning this behavior, if I were to do this, I would set the value at more than a tenth of a penny so as not to arise suspicion. Of course when dumb asses leave receipts to be found, its not saying much. Unreal. If this was an independent gas station, you are basically stealing from a friend or boss instead of the big evil corporate BP giant.
