It's 2016 Murai. Besides a VERY limited number of charging stations and, personally, I'd rather not be sitting anywhere close to another Hindenburg, what is wrong with Toyota designers? Are they trying to now outperform Nissan in producing oddly shaped to ugly cars?

The Toyota fan club will gobble them up because they last “forever”.

That is absolutely hideous. Makes the 2015 Camry look positively pretty (and that's saying something).

Maybe it is a case of figuring negative attention is better than none at all?

It's a new technology. Early adopters tend to want to have everyone know they are one. Hence when you see a Murai, you will know what it is. If you have no idea that it is special, you won't be curious about it.

Notice the best selling hybrid - the Prius - never had "normal" styling. Those that did have never sold as well as the unique one

My issue with hydrogen is that we can't make it without consuming large amounts of power. That is the problem. Not some car with edgy looks.

"converting natural gas to hydrogen requires approximately 33% more natural gas energy than is contained in the resulting hydrogen..."

All of the electrics look butt ugly, that trend started with the hybrids. Remember the Honda Insight.

I personally have never liked the way electric cars looked. I'm wondering what's wrong with Audi designers and why their vehicles aren't gotten facelifts in what seems like a decade.
