People using lawyers for this is sooooooooooooooo stupid.

If you wanna sue, go ahead and sue. Small claims court varies greatly state by state. In CA, you can sue up to 10k. Diminished value claims are pretty common.

So if you VW Golf TDI was worth 20k last month and you feel its now worth 15k, sue for 5k.

It's not going to drop from 20k to 5k...thats just not gonna happen.

Media hysteria? I've already seen the 'you may be entitled to compensation' law firm TV commercials.

If it wasn't for media hysteria how would Trump get all those fools to believe in him?

Volkwagen's unethical emissions scam is partly the government's fault

Has anyone noticed the amount of deflection from the VW crowd? They always seem to bring up Toyota, GM or some other carmaker.

It’s not like Toyota or GM set out from the start aka the design process to defraud. VW set out from the start to defraud and now the chickens have come home to roost.

This seems to be too much for the VW crowd. It’s like a lot of them on are in denial about how mediocre VW’s engineering dept really is.

I had been helping a friend look to buy a used Jetta TDI literally days before the scandal came out. I just went back and checked the dealers we were at. They haven't lowered the asking prices of the used TDI's at all.

See there ya go more deflection and yet no one is saying what GM or Toyota did was right.

The nutty part is VW fanatics that I know seem to lean left and preach about corporate responsibilty, but are wiling to turn a blind eye now that VW's green washing has been exposed as a fraud.

Here's some more LOL about VW's fraud

Lol, I HAD TO cheat because the professor made the exam soooo hard.

"A urea tank costs thousands of dollars, diminishes fuel economy, and makes cars far less zippy " so VW CHOSE to not implement it.

VW could've also CHOSEN to not sell their TDI models in the US market -- it's only a tiny fraction of their global diesel car sales anyhow.
