Bosch, Denso, or Rain-X.

I typically replace them once a year regardless. I hate streaking so at the first sign, they get replaced. Excessive? Probably...but I'm the one driving the car and it's my $$

Try Valeo. I'm not a shill for them and it may be windshield/car dependent.

But I have them on all three of our cars (Forester, IS250, 325i) for the last year and no streaking or clattering or skipping. Only problem is I don't think they can be purchased locally, only online but prices aren't unreasonable.

I had 10 year old wipers replaced, although its possible they were replaced years before during an inspection and I forgot about it. I put Rain X wipers on and they streaked and squeaked. They were only on maybe 6 months when a late Winter/ early Spring rain overnight turned to ice when the temps dropped. I started the car and the wipers came on and ripped the rubber since they were frozen to the windshield. I was happy to see them gone, honestly. I got Anco wipers at Wal mart and they were fantastic. I'd highly recommend them but Wal mart doesn't carry them anymore. The cheaper wipers were actually better. I since got some Michelin floormats that wore out extremely quickly, the rubber just fell apart. So no Michelin wipers for me, if that's how their rubber lasts. or tires, either. Maybe that's different, but who knows.
