So, for reasons I won't go into (not for any warranty reasons) my 2014 Ram needs to be repainted.

Any suggestions on a shop in Phoenix area or good ways to find a quality paint shop? Not looking for the Maaco $4-5k type job, looking for a high quality job.

Ideas?

If you click on the pic, it should blow up..

The hood on that car was a cheap e-bay find, slapped on in my driveway & taken to Maaco /Deer Valley as it was shipped (no prep or finessing at all) - after several years of being parked outside in Phoenix, being washed exclusively at the $3 car-wash & waxed /zero/ times, that's what it looked like when I sold the car. I couldn't complain for the $200-ish that they charged.

Thought about that, but was looking mostly for general "what to look for" without limiting to location and if I got some local suggestions that'd be a bonus.
Car fanatics cover all states as do standards for what a quality paint shop should be was my thought in this.

I had my truck repainted at a local body shop. 2700 bucks. Got three quotes. One guy was in the clouds $6500 and amp other was at $5500. The third guy came highly recommended from a friend who is a insurance adjuster. The body shop did a GREAT job. Fixed all dents scratches and dings. Truck looks brand new again
If you were in OC SoCal I would recommend them.

Might be worth your time to go to a local 'cruise night', 'cars and coffee' meet. or whatever you find in your area. When you see a well done paint job ask the owner where it was done.

Ask the local dealership if they do paint work, and if not then ask where they get their paint work done. They are going to put their name on it, so I highly doubt they will want it looking like someone did a hack job on it.

I once saved a lot of money by painting my old Chevy PU Rustoleum Forest Green using a 4" wide paintbrush. It wound up mostly the same color and the rusting slowed down a bit.

I'm sorry... You think that a $4,000 - $5,000 paint job is cheap??? SMH.....
