Maybe your attorney gives you a break because you're buddies. I had an attorney that charged $165hr for his secretaries time.

Try doing it on 20 cars a day. Impact gun is fine removing the lug nuts, but when tightening them ideally you should be using torque stick or torque wrench

These are 19mm nuts, using a socket concerns me. If it breaks, so do my knuckles on the pavement.
Not if you're pulling up instead of pushing down.

I shouldn't have to buy a breaker bar to remove over tightened lug nuts, and mechanics never lubricate the hub threads.

It's not recommended to lubricate the hub threads.

I should just let them continue rusting?. They were so dry, even starting the nuts was met with resistance.

So I used a bit of silicone spray, will re-check them when I pull the nail from tire #4.

Don't lub the threads but if you insist on it, then you need to appropriately under-torque them.

Lubbing the threads can overtorque them just as bad as using an impact gun.

Or do it right like Blue Biker mentioned, and spend $60 on a decent torque wrench with extensions.
