Here is the heads I'd run over those stock asthma heads short of looking for 461s

Aluminum Cylinder Heads - Chevrolet - Small-Block - Performer Centerbolt - Edelbrock, LLC.
You can run the ETec heads (their version of vortec only aluminum)
Performer RPM is going to cost more.

Small combustion chambers more compression. More power. $812.60 for assembled heads from summit

That Edelbrock intake cam and lifters 522.74 at jegs
Edelbrock 3704PK: SBC T.B.I Performer Power Package | JEGS

Appears the performer and performer rpm and Etec top end is only for carbed small blocks I'd figure they'd have the whole kit available cam lifters intake heads and TBI unit.

Edit to add: you run this kit on a 350 punched 30 over, with flat tops, never mind the stroker crank you'd have 300-350 hp.
Add the stroker crank and the machining for it, you'd have 350-400ftlbs of torque.
Would only be a matter of getting a chip for the PCM, headers, and run MagnaFlow high flow cats if California legal...

If you go to a different engine it has to be same year or newer than the car it's being installed in. California smog doesn't care what engine you throw in there as long as all smog related equipment is there and the engine isn't older than the vehicle it's going in. So I can go put a V8 out of any vehicle from 1989-2017 as long as you keep the original smog stuff and related things. . But I can't put a 1988 engine in it.

Yeah I thought about a Lt1 or LS1. But I would need a donor car and I don't really want to make the swap too complicated. This is the easiest avenue. I figured I gotta replace the motor and live with it for a while might as well do something that's at least a bit fun. But that starts getting expensive when you go LS1/LT1. Because now I have to either go ejector ic trans or figure out how to use the 700R4 which isn't electronically controlled. It's just too much work for what I want. I'm not looking for a race truck. I just want a bit more ooomph. Most of the money is going in paint wheels tires interior stance.
Gotcha.
