Where is a good place to find information on zero down or sign and drive leases that manufacturers run specials on periodically? Is there a good or specific website to search for these deals, and is September or October good months to find these deals ?
What notnamed said. Negotiate the vehicle price first as if you were buying it.
Other things to note... not all "zero down" leases are truly zero down. Many still require you to pay tax/title/etc to get the number they show in the adverts (check the fine print). Some dealers will advertise a "TRUE" zero down offer or similar, where they roll up all costs into your lease so you do legitimately pay only your first month.
Ultimately the best true-zero deals you are going to find are on vehicles with good manufacturer/dealer incentives or vehicles with high residual value. Take a look online and learn the basics of money-factor and residuals. Essentially you're paying for the depreciation on the price you agreed to buy the vehicle for and the residual value at the end of your lease-term (plus whatever the money factor/interest is).
