So I woke up one morning to find my car encased in frost, and with no ice scraper ( I moved south), I sprayed WD40 on the windows. The problem is they are dirty and a little had to see through. Does anyone know how to clean the WD40 off the glass windows of the car ? Tried winded and obviously not working.

WD 40 I think is petroleum based?
Anyway should come off with any type of solvent that can emulsify greasy stuff.
Maybe vinegar as stated previously, maybe a bucket of warm water and dish soap or try going through a car wash.

I put WD40 on a squeaky wiper blade once. It took lots of elbow grease, window cleaner, and paper towels to finally get it off. There's also a list of words I used during the process, but I won't post them here.

Probably the cheapest spray solvent that you can easily get would be some sort of brake cleaner. I would spray that on a paper towel, and wipe the window with that. Then use the same to wipe off the windshield wiper blades, at least the edges.

Washing with Dawn dish detergent might work too. Don't over-do that and put it all over the rest of the car, it tends to strip wax as well as oil.

dishwashing soap, dawn, or any kind of liquid detergent, then rinse and wipe down with ammonia or windex.

Rubbing alcohol should work and you may already have a bottle.

And being another scraperless transplant to the south, I find a credit card handy for the level of frost I normally get.

Or you are really picky about clean windows try Invisible Glass.
Next warm day use Rain-X all around, including the mirrors.

WD 40 is mostly kerosene, which is why it is a crappy lubricant. It was the 40th formulation of a Water Displacing liquid for the inside of the Atlas missile.

Dude. Next time open your wallet and grab a ATM card use that as a ice scraper. Or start your car and turn on the defrost. It will warm up the glass and loosen the built up ice.

Brake cleaner sprayed on a rag will get it off. And brake cleaner evaporates fast. Then use windex or glass cleaner to final clean.
