It's use of cruise control mandatory?
Described above situation has nothing to do with using or not using it anyway - just bad driving habits.
Perhaps some people just get mad when you try to pass them...
so now apparently i have to use cruise control along with putting my climate control on automatic. is there any other stupid crap you want me to use instead of controlling my car as i see fit instead of the computer? i suppose next you are going to tell me i have to use the traction control all the time, or perhaps you want me to set my light control in the automatic position, rather than control them manually.
I start to pass you and then you speed up; or you speed by me, get over in front of me and then slow down.
It's very annoying, please stop.
Even if those folks who have their testosterone threatened when you pass them were using cruise control they would still hit the gas then resume back to the slower cruise once they've passed you anyway.

Why do you assume all vehicles have cruise control? I ALWAYS use my cruise control when traffic flow allows. What I don’t do is complain about others not doing the same. Roads where I live are for the most part flat so I use cruise control to help maximize my fuel savings. What I do complain about are phone zombies who drastically slow down or speed up during their phone zone activities. What’s worse is many of the roads I travel don’t offer safe passing especially with them going side to side. Not using cruise control is not a safety issue as long as you can maintain relatively steady speed with your foot. Being a phone zombie is probably more dangerous than being a drunk driver and I try to stay away from both.
