Now, this is a class act through and through but $180K?

And if you are practically building a new one from the ground up, why is it even a Bronco?

Down through the years a manufacturer will get something just perfectly right. Ford did it with the 1st Generation Bronco's. A real classic.

$180,000? You can get the real thing for far less so I do not see the point.

Agreed. Why? I've got a friend with an original, all tricked out. Probably worth $40k.

The guys with the originals are probably real happy about this.

Maybe because you're going to feel like crap when you destroy an irreplaceable classic car on the trail.

Also, restored Broncos are over $100k https://classics.autotrader.com/clas...ronco-for-sale

If you want to off-road. $12,500

Very nicely restored examples are as noted, widely available at 40-60K.

Since this thread was started I've killed some time looking at Bronco prices and I have to say, I was pretty amazed at what Bronco II's are bringing.

Does not matter. Someone paid $6 000 for lollypop Arnold sucked on and spit into trash can.
People will buy anything that costs a lot. Simply tells you, how little value money is indeed.

Trust me, a person that restored an old Bronco will scoff at the guy that buys one of these.
There's a fair contingent that think that new cars shouldn't even be allowed at car shows.

Most car shows are participant judged.
I know quite a few people who will not vote for a new car if the owner is not in their club.
Being in the club trumps all else. The unwritten rule is we vote for each other.
I've horse traded my leftover votes with guys who had new cars. In return for my vote they have to vote for me.
For a Merkur to win at a car show, you gotta have strategeries...

Love the first gen ones but I much prefer the 78/79 style. Unfortunately those are increasing as well and I need a bigger boat first!
