I remember back in the mid to late 90s, they used to sell those license plate covers at Walmart, Auto zone, Advance Auto, etc etc. They were cheap too. The main selling point was they could 'distort' your plate number when viewed at certain angles.


They were sort of a gimmick ,like radar detectors.

Yep, got his with that problem last year. It's what happens when an already troubled company somehow managed to get the winning bid on a big state contract despite there already being awful problems with their billing systems in other states.
