I was horrified when I saw the rear end of the current Corvette. I still think it looks good from the front or side. From the back, it is ugly, at least to me. Incidentally,
Unlike most cars which have phallic symbols for adornment, the Edsel had an effigy of a vulva up front. My buddies in the Army joked about how Ford had actually intended to call it, "The Ethel". There was one other part to that joke that I think I'd better not mention.
It's been far surpassed by a number of Japanese cars.
Several Nissans, the current Prius and the overall winner, the Toyota Mirai beat it handily for ugliness.
