I own a 2019 Forester in the Touring trim. I love the Adaptive Cruise Control. I use it primarily on Rte-95, it's intended primarily for driving on limited access roads, as the manual states explicitly. But I have it on the least aggressive setting for acceleration and braking all the time (smooths out the ride and is safer IMO), and I have also set it on low speed (certainly less than 30mph) in stop and go traffic, just keep a close eye on it, and so far so good there.

I am not recalling if it will full stop and start on its own. We're relying on my memory here, and I just drive it, I am not paying normally attention to this distinction to be honest, and I know I am not *trying* to be rigorous about having the most automated experience, I am trying to be rigorous about having the safest experience...

I *think* that I tend to use it in conditions where the traffic is still mostly crawling along and try to set it where it's running roughly at the average speed. I *think* I tend to step on the brake manually after the car stops moving forward, just out of an abundance of caution (it does come to a full stop in movement on its own). If you depress the brake pedal fully and the car's not moving, the auto-start/stop system kicks in and stops the engine. Then in that case at least, when the traffic picks up again you get a little beep from Eyesight and the dash display tells you the cars ahead are moving... then I *think* I just let off the brake and the engine fires up and off it goes.

Seats have been great to me, they are firm but I like that. Not tired on 8 hour trips.

I have an Outback. I've had the variable cruise drop all the way to a full stop. It's a little slow to speed back up, but I'm okay with that. I have fabric seats, so no knowledge of leather, but the fabric is comfortable, and two things I really like is the heat function and the seat adjustment with the press of a button, adjusts to me 5' 11' and my wife 5' 3".
