People don't know what they don't know.

You haven't driven on snows before so you don't know.

Personally, I wouldn't pick that area of your life to save money.

Well stated!!

I wouldn't attempt to navigate a winter without them. Back in the late 70s, when Goodyear first introduced their "all season" tire, the Tiempo, I put a set of them on my recently purchased, new car, ditching the "el cheapo" OE tires. The Tiempos were better than regular tires, of course, but nowhere as good as a dedicated winter tire.

What state are you in? What snow tires did you buy? I sold tires in the mountains of CO for 3 years and am an expert on them

Yeah, what himain asked--it's kind of a useless post unless you let people know which snow tires you have, your car, etc.

FWIW, I'm in western NY, right in the "snow belt", along the shore of Lake Ontario. I currently have an AWD Jeep Grand Cherokee, and in the winter, it wears Nokian tires.

If he says it's a Honda in Michigan. the thread will be moved to a subforum for either Honda or Michigan, and none of would ever see it again.

Sounds normal to me if your air temp was above freezing. I know my snow tires feel pretty funny when the temps go above 40 degrees.

Just purchased/put on new All Season tires on my small Japanese sedan - early Fall. Goodyear Assurance. Road feel is excellent.
But, this used car came with another 4 wheel/snow tires. So the snow wheel/tires went on. Completely different feel to road - with the snow tires on.

Since I already have the snow tires. I use them.

Yes, the drive feeling is different with snow tires.

Snow tires are a thing of the past that’s why there are all season tires, my father used snow tires for a while on his 1962 RWD impala, but when all season tires came out there went the snow tires into the trash were someone took them. Why people freak out about snow is funny after your first winter in snow you learn how to drive in the snow. I had a 1974 Ford Pinto that i took to Erie PA in the winter we’re they were trucking snow out because they ran out of food to dump it, had no problem glass belted tires.
