My first thought. And he is calling it $6/gallon when we aren't even close to $4. Even if it goes from $4 to $6 in 2030, that would be the last year of ownership if he kept the Camaro for 10 years.

Maybe less than that. It is 4 miles to work and 4 miles back and one trip to the store that is 3.5 miles and that is it every week. I avg around 7 gals per around 50 miles of driving in 30 to 45mph zones.

My modded C6 did much better.

And yeah, the deals on new Bolts right now are great. If you are a Costco member, you can get $3000 off the already low sale price of them, meaning you can buy a new 2021 Bolt for under $20k, or lease it for under $200/mo.

BTW, the 220V breaker is simply a double breaker on your existing box. If you have a dryer in your house, or an AC unit, you already have 220V breakers in there.
I have a dryer and oven but don't know jack about breaker boxes.

Make sure you have a 200 amp service and a additional sub panel for the new EV charger. Just because you have a 220v breakers in your breaker box doesn’t mean that you’re electrical service can operate a new 220v EV charger. So that rebate won’t cover the cost of upgrading your electric service if needed to have a EV charger installed. I know my home only has a 109 amp service and i also have a electric hot water heater, a electric dryer and central A/C. I know if i wanted a EV charger i would have to upgrade my electric to handle the extra load of a EV charger. Look on the main breaker and see how many amps it says.
No clue what i have. House was built in 1973 with a small breaker box. Pretty much been maxed out since i moved here. Cost of a new box would be around $1200 i guess. It is right next to the car in the garage. You can see the box above the C6 in the left side clyde.

On top of that, in California I would pay a 9% sales tax making that $32,050 OTD before adding a single option.

Just saying.
$23k for a Bolt LT. Maybe you were looking at a Premier?

Beats me why it is bad. On the highway around 21. My C6 and C7 did around 31mpg highway.

And with the Costco discount, you get another $3k on top of that, and some dealers add an additional discount.

The MSRP is a worthless figure and doesn't reflect what people are actually paying for them out the door at any dealership nationwide. I paid $25k a year ago for my new 2020 and the 2021s are a little lower to reflect the newer, lower yet cost of batteries.

Enthusiasts need to try them. Put it in L and Sport mode and punch it (especially punch it from 20-50 though if you turn the traction control off and punch it from a stop, it's pretty fun, too). Yeah, it's no Tesla, but it's quicker than a MINI Cooper S or a GTI in those conditions. I know it's quicker than my MINI Cooper JCW because there's no waiting around for it to rev up. MY JCW, however, is a roadster, so there is no EV replacement for it, yet. The two of them, though, make for a great combo in the driveway. And the Bolt has become the road trip car when we aren't camping. As I've mentioned, my wife is in eastern CT right now, and it took her one 30 minute stop to charge up at the halfway point to get almost 400 miles away from here.
So i need to go to Costco and be a memeber and then tell the dealer?

And all the mods. I am used to trading. I was trading every 3 months years ago in 05-06. Had to try them all.

That is a 2020. I was talking about brand new 2021 models, not somthing that has been sitting on the lot for 12 months and thus already depreciated a year. Not to mention, the worst thing you can do to a car is just let it sit.

Yes, those are usually heavily discounted. The resale value on that 2020 is going to be low right off the bat.
