It seems that you are crazy these days if you use your turn signals anywhere. At least abnormal. Some people have told me they intentionally do not use turn signals because they are concerned that people will try to block them from turning or changing lanes if they signal their intentions.
I kind of home with electronic steering and AI powered cars that eventually you will not be able to turn unless you signal. of course that woudl cause a problem if you suddenly need to swerve around somehting
Here in MA, using a turn signal is a sign of weakness. NEVER EVER TELEGRAPH YOUR MOVES!!
Ha! My brother's been living in the Boston area for 20 years and what you say seems true to me. MA drivers don't use their turn signals but they sure lay into the horn. Here in southern California survival is the complete opposite: "You saw my blinker, ******," and use your horn at your own peril...extended long honks might get your shot around here. It ain't right, but it is what it is.
Some of the responses around here have me thinking maybe we should be slashing funding for roads, dismantling most of them, and forcing people to ride Amtrak.
Yea like anyone follows the rules it’s everyone for themselves here.
The cops tend to sit at the roundabout and they do nothing....
They could make their quota in 10 mins.
