There are car buyers that are paranoid enough to cross the car of their list. But I've never seen a used car manager check, or care. And in todays market I'm sure 99% of cars are getting bought by the dealer before the bank ever takes it to an auction.
Maybe. How often do you think used cars are rejected because of a replacement windshield, across America each year? Probably less than once.

OEM will say Toyota. Mines said Lexus. I believe OEM was about 1500. Aftermarket for me was Fuyao made in Detroit. $400ish. There is warranty on this so make sure there is no leaking is the most critical part of install

Fuyao is a China company that bought a windshield company in Detroit. There is a documentary on Netflix about this named American Factory

i agree. 99% of buyers wouldn’t notice or don’t care. Any buyer that is so meticulous probably spend an exorbitant time and money to buy a 99% pristine car. Mind as well buy a brand new car

I saw it more than once in my time selling used cars.

Just like there was an immaculate used car that was clearly not a smokers car (on a hot day, sitting in the sun, no smell) that someone rejected because the cigarette lighter appeared to have been used at some point.

Or someone that rejected one Rav4 because the trailer hitch had been wired to the brake lights, but not a second one because "It's not wired, so they haven't towed anything with it, so it was probably only used for a bike rack."

Again, there are things that people will reject a car for that won't limit its price. People reject cars for all sorts of silly reasons.
