The Cute Modern-Isetta Microlino Is Getting An Even More Adorable Fiat Jolly-Inspired Beach Car Version

After years of waiting, residents of European countries are finally getting their hands on what’s possibly the most adorable modern microcar in the world.
And the Gucci CEO Marco Bizzarri was one of the first to get a Microlino.

The 6 kWh pack is good for 56 miles with the 10.5 kWh pack coming in at 108 miles. The biggest 14 kWh pack is good for about 143 miles.

That's probably more than enough to cover a week of driving around in the EU city, since this is not the type of car to be driven any long distance. Micro wants you to think of a Microlino as a bridge between a full car and a motorcycle. Still much faster than walking and biking, and you can put in a bag of groceries, or two.
Bonus - it's waterproof too

Cute? YES!

But, wonder how long it will take for the first one to look like a souvenir penny left on the railroad tracks.

Or well I guess the Isetta with the front door it's actually inspired by.

Perhaps in the US.
But there are many very small cars driving in Europe, also people on bikes, bicycles and... pedestrians
Everyone feels quite safe sharing the roads.

It would be great for a city or master planned community.

Yes, the vast majority of drivers feel quite safe sharing the road...... until they don't.

And ironically the people buying larger vehicles to make themselves feel safer are actually making it less safe for everyone.

I was thinking the same thing... of course I prefer a decent sized vehicle with top safety scores myself, but, there are tons of people out there on mopeds and motorcycles that offer speed but virtually no protection, plus unmotorized transport like bicycles and legs.
