The government is not collecting less taxes because of CREDITS, it’s taking it from other things. You should donate the $7,500 you didn’t have to normally pay to some charity. As of January 1, 2023 the $7,500 is given as cash in hand on purchase. Apparently to you that $7,500 falls from some random money tree.
Ahh, the old moving the goal posts bit. First you say YOU pay for EV tax credits, meaning your taxes go up by the amount you're paying out, and when that's proven false, then you move the goalposts to "it's being taken from somewhere else." And really, government budgets don't work like that.

Who pays the $7,500 that is paid in cash now? Where does that money come from? If you have a tax bill of $10k at end of the year, then you get $7,500 subtracted for your EV credit, then the government is happy to only take $2,500 from you. So the government business is owed $10k, but only takes $2.5k and everything balances out huh? You should try that with whatever business you own.
Well yeah, I mean, I did. I bought it used. I didn’t get a tax break. I make smart financial decisions. FSD new is much more than the tax credit. FSD on used cars at the time was basically free. Easy choice.
Again, stop striking out man.
So again: why do you want corporations to get tax credits but not tax payers?

You don’t even fall under what I’m talking about either, the prior owner does. They are giving $4k credits for used now. I agree EV’s work great for you, tons of others including myself. The only thing I don’t is the government paying a part of the purchases. You didn’t get that credit, so I’m not referring to you.
Ok so again, why are you ok with oil corporations getting tax breaks, but not Americans having less of their money confiscated?
I never said I agreed with oil companies getting breaks.
